Apartment Komuna (3)
The apartment, named Commune with a double bed, of 39m2 and a terrace of 12m2 offers accommodation for four persons (2 + 2). It is located on the first floor and has a separate entrance. Categorization of high 4 stars.
There is WiFi internet, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, electric stove and combined fridge (deep freezing). Smoking is permitted pets by arrangement. Separate entrance and partial sea view.
Air conditioning, heating, cooling and sojourn tax are included in the final price.
Changing linen is done once a week along with towels as needed.
Did you know?
As recommended by the Venetians in the port of Komiža at the end of the 16th century, a castle was built on a small promontory that forms two of Komiža bays. Rectangular in shape, with walls that are slanted towards the bottom and that enter directly into the sea from the north and west side .This explains bulky rings of stone that were used for mooring large sailing ships, and are now separated from the sea with a waterfront. Solid walls are crowned with a rounded crown on the end of which a strip tower was erected in the late 19th century with a clock and a bell that was probably transferred from some old church. Like the majority of the Venetian fortress in Dalmatia, the Commune wasn't built with Venetian money, but with revenues from Komižas fishermen from the fishing post Trešjavac on the south side of Biševo. Thus states the inscription on the north wall, under an almost lost relief of a winged lion, the only feature of the Venetian Republic which remained on the island of Vis: DEO GRATIA ICH EST OPERA DI POST TRESLIAVAC 1.5.9.2. As with the Commune, a major part of the revenues from the long and hard fishermen's work on the fishing outpost Trešjavac served for the construction of this magnificent building.

City of Komiža
"Komiža is like an embrace," said the writer Ranko Marinković.
As if the town slid from the mountain into the bay and pleasantly situated itself across from the silent island of Biševo, Komiža's urban structure indeed looks like a hug. But it's not only it's structure that embraces you here.
Hugs come from green-blue shutters, and the silence that keeps the boats afloat. You can smell them in the scent of immortelles and ripe figs, carobs that lower their branches to invite you to try their fruits. The dusk embraces you while you bathe among the shiny planktons that reflect the shooting stars. Hugs are played through the symphony of the orchestra of crickets that sing from pine trees in the rhythm of the waves.
Until you step on every beach, until you place the palm of your hand on each house, you will not know how many hugs Komiža hides. And even then, behind each corner a new embrace will be shining like a pearl.
Because in Komiža hugs are continuosly being born and spilt into each new moment, into each of the five senses of the observer.
