Apartment Fortica (1)
The luxurious Fortica Apartment offers you two-star accommodation, categorized as a 4-star superior.
It is spread over 35m2 on the ground floor of the house with an additional 15m2 terrace and the natural shade of vineyards. You are provided with a dining area, fully equipped kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, electric stove, deep fridge freezer), one bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower.
Television programs of Croatian Television and SAT TV, WiFi Internet are available.Smoking is permitted, pets by arrangement. The entrance is special through the garden.
Air conditioning, heating, cooling and sojourn tax are included in the final price.
Changing linen is done once a week along with towels as needed.
Did you know?
In 1812. engineer Robertson began to build a narrow and oblong fortress besieged by a moat with sloping walls, immediately after the Englishmen took Vis and found that it is necessary to ensure fortifications. The Fortification is entered through a suspension bridge through a wide door above which there is a carved English flag and two flowers by it's side, in the central arch. A hanging small wall with two brackets above the door (medieval motif) ensures enetrance and it is labeled „George the third“. Inside are two courtyards with a well surrounded with moats, a terrace with semicircular openings for guns and an assembly of numerous rooms with openings for guns. Colonel George Duncan Robertson wrote from Vis that the inhabitants of Vis greeted the English soldiers with great pleasure and were dissatisfied with the French, and that they will be happy to provide assistance in the construction of fortifications.

City of Komiža
"Komiža is like an embrace," said the writer Ranko Marinković.
As if the town slid from the mountain into the bay and pleasantly situated itself across from the silent island of Biševo, Komiža's urban structure indeed looks like a hug. But it's not only it's structure that embraces you here.
Hugs come from green-blue shutters, and the silence that keeps the boats afloat. You can smell them in the scent of immortelles and ripe figs, carobs that lower their branches to invite you to try their fruits. The dusk embraces you while you bathe among the shiny planktons that reflect the shooting stars. Hugs are played through the symphony of the orchestra of crickets that sing from pine trees in the rhythm of the waves.
Until you step on every beach, until you place the palm of your hand on each house, you will not know how many hugs Komiža hides. And even then, behind each corner a new embrace will be shining like a pearl.
Because in Komiža hugs are continuosly being born and spilt into each new moment, into each of the five senses of the observer.
